We are looking for a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet highways project located in the Cambridge/Bedford area.

What you'll do:



Provide commercial support to the project and assist the commercial team. Support QS/senior QS with records, trackers, reports and file management. Prepare subcontractor accounts, interim valuations and progress/final assessments. Measure quantities, value subcontract interim payments and manage change/control compensation events. Support cost control, capture, forecasting and cost/value reconciliation (labour, plant, materials, subcontract). Administer and manage own subcontract packages (NEC4). Perform general commercial/admin duties and maintain QS filing system. Work closely with operations to deliver tasks on time. Use site commercial/document systems (Oracle, CEMAR, ProjectWise, forecasting tools).


What you will bring to the role

Degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or related subject MRICS/CICES accreditation desirable (or in progress) Experience in subcontract management, ideally with NEC contracts Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach Proficiency in Excel, Word, and commercial digital systems/BIM Excellent communication skills; effective working with multi?discipline teams Ability to manage time and meet deadlines under pressure Resilient, positive mindset with determination to deliver results Full UK driving licence
