Relief Cook / Assistant Cook

Residential Care Home - 30 Hours per Week

Pentraeth, Anglesey LL75 8EX | 13.10 per hour

We're looking for a caring and passionate Relief Cook to join our friendly team in a well-established residential care home.

As part of our friendly and supportive kitchen team, you'll help prepare nutritious, homely meals and step up to lead the kitchen when our Kitchen Manager is off. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where every dish you prepare brings comfort and care to our residents.

What You'll Do:

Cook and prepare meals to meet residents' needs and preferences Step up to lead the kitchen when needed (covering holidays/sickness) Assist with food prep, serving, and cleaning Maintaining a

clean and organised kitchen environment

Following all

food safety and hygiene

guidelines and regulations Assisting with

stock control

and supply management Work as part of a close-knit, caring team

What We're Looking For:

Experience as a

Cook

or

Assistant Cook

, ideally in a care or healthcare setting Comfortable supervising others and stepping into a lead role when needed A caring, respectful, and team-focused approach Flexible and reliable - able to adapt to the needs of the service Great team player with the ability to lead, delegate, and support others Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete training)
