We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant/Bar Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves supporting the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards, and working as part of a small team to provide an outstanding experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment. Oversee food preparation ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance service quality. Implement and uphold food safety practices throughout the restaurant.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Excellent management skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Previous experience in a wine bar environment is advantageous - wine knowledge would be helpful. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and hospitality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A background in bar or restaurant management or kitchen operations is desirable.
