Salt on the Harbour, Bridlington's award-winning seafood restaurant, is looking for an experienced

Assistant Manager

to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a busy, quality-driven hospitality environment and enjoys leading by example on the floor.

The Role

As Assistant Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong team leadership, and smooth operations during service.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the General Manager with daily operations Leading shifts and managing the floor during busy services Supervising, motivating, and developing the front-of-house team Maintaining excellent customer service and guest experience Cash handling, cashing up, and basic operational controls Assisting with rotas, staffing levels, and holiday planning Training new starters and supporting ongoing development Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally Working closely with the kitchen and senior management team

About You

Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or similar role in a busy restaurant environment Passion for hospitality and high service standards Confident, calm, and organised under pressure Strong communication and leadership skills Hands-on, reliable, and visible on the floor Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods
Experience in seafood or premium dining is an advantage, but not essential for the right candidate.
