We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts
Support the management team in supervising staff, including serving, food preparation, and kitchen activities
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Help coordinate food production and presentation, maintaining consistency and quality
Manage customer relations, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally
Support staff training programmes, fostering a positive team environment
Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating culinary expertise and customer preferences
Supervise the organisation of restaurant workflows during busy periods to optimise efficiency
Skills
Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments with a strong understanding of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Supervising experience with demonstrated team management capabilities
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
Knowledge of food production processes, kitchen operations, and culinary techniques
Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Good communication skills to liaise confidently with team members and customers
Familiarity with hotel or restaurant management practices is desirable but not essential
