As part of the new W Hotel opening in the vibrant St James Quarter and with stunning views over the Scottish capital, our Edinburgh restaurant will be the latest beautiful restaurant to add to our current portfolio in Las Vegas, London, Dubai and Doha as well as planned openings in Bahrain and Riyadh.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to Restaurant Manager for W Edinburgh and SUSHISAMBA, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will have overall responsibility for assisting in directing the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring the restaurant team works together to provide exceptional service to our guests.

Joining the pre-opening team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel and the restaurant\xe2\x80\x99s opening and beyond. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, motivated and passionate!

As SUSHISAMBA Assistant Restaurant Manager, key aspects of your role will include:

• Handle employee questions or concerns
• Monitor emplouee performance and ensure expectations are met
• Assist in supervising daily shift operations
• Supervise the restaurant and all related operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager and SUSHISAMBA General Manager
• Participate in departmental meetings by communicating any departmental needs, daily training needs and W Hotels culture
• Ensure all Talent have proper uniform, equipment and supplies to run the daily operation
• Manage to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
• Open and close restaurant shifts
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
• Encourage employees to provide excellent service to our guests following W Hotels\xe2\x80\x99 brand standards
• Set a positive example for guest relations
• Supervise ongoing training initiatives
• Coach and counsel employees regarding performance on an on-going basis
• Assist in service with the SUSHISAMBA floor team during high demand periods
• Work in collaboration with the wider Beverage and Food team to ensure a successful hotel opening and beyond

• Previous experience working in high-end, high-volume restaurants and/or bars
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to create memorable experiences for guests
