We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, with a focus on team leadership and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards. Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high levels of performance. Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Train new employees in culinary techniques, serving procedures, and hospitality best practices. Manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop menus that reflect customer preferences and seasonal ingredients. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for positive resolutions. Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas to uphold health standards.

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development. Previous experience in food production or kitchen environments is essential. Familiarity with barista duties is advantageous but not mandatory. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both staff and customers.
