We are now seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented
Assistant Scientist
to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the development of new medical products, working in a supportive environment where curiosity, precision and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role
This is a hands-on laboratory position where you will support project-related research and development activities. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing analytical tests on new product prototypes and supporting the development and validation of test methods.
Maintaining accurate, high-quality laboratory records and documentation.
Contributing to production trials, including the hand assembly of pilot or trial batches of medical products.
Potentially supporting visits to external manufacturing sites as required.
Collaborating with scientists and engineers across multiple disciplines to progress product development programmes.
Key Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, accuracy and a strong technical mindset. The ideal candidate will have:
A background in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmacy or a related field (A-level, degree or similar qualification).
Experience working in a regulated or controlled laboratory environment.
Familiarity with analytical or in vitro test systems, ideally relating to physical or materials testing.
An interest in materials used in medical or wound-care products (advantageous but not essential).
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
Good numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
A proactive attitude and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
