**Vacancy - Assistant Service Centre Manager / MOT Tester - Liverpool**

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Service Centre Manager / MOT Tester.

The successful Assistant Manager / MOT tester will:

• Have served 3 years minimum in the automotive industry.
• Be able to demonstrate management skills.
• Be excellent at communicating with technicians, and customers.
• Valid Class 4 MOT Testing Licence.
• Knowledge of wheel alignments procedure, tyre problems, fitting procedure, exhausts, suspension and brakes and the process for repairing any related issues. Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Hardworking and a flexible, can-do attitude.

Your duties as an Assistant Manager /MOT Tester will be:

Management Duties

• Assist the manager in day-to-day tasks and be fully competent in all management roles to cover for manager on days off.
• Manage resources to consistently meet and exceed your set plans and targets.
• Ownership of site and staff to ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation.
• Create and adopt a Health & Safety culture.
• Ensure that all equipment checks are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Be responsible for cleanliness of the depot and boundaries at all times.
• Participate in staff recruitment, inductions and training.
• Manage and grow sales.
• Ensure all documentation and personal information is processed in accordance with the companies GDPR policy.
• Have an excellent understanding and control of the site costs and banking.
• Commercially aware of the costs incurred by decision making.
• Positive attitude lead by example on shift at all times.
• Be accountable for all stock on site.

MOT Tester Duties

• Conduct class IV - vehicle inspections in accordance with the vehicle inspectorates laid down procedures.
• Complete all documentation in relation to conduct class IV - vehicle inspections and produce returns as required by the inspectorate.
• Identify work and faulty components in accordance with company standards.
• Inform customers of the required and advisory work, providing them with a clear and full explanation as to why the work is required.
• Remove and refit components that require repair - ensure all components are fixed correctly and securely.
• Conduct tyre adjustments in line with the technical standards and personal competencies.
• Ensure maintenance programmes and any required calibrations are completed in line with Ministry requirements.
• Inspect all tools and equipment required to ensure they are suitable for undertaking any required MOT inspections. These checks must be completed regularly to ensure their serviceability.
• To assist in other technical aspects such as servicing cars, brakes, suspension, and exhausts.
