Join Our Dynamic Access Team as an Assistant Service Manager!



Are you ready to take your career to the next level? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an internal candidate to join our vibrant Access Team as an Assistant Service Manager.



In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external colleagues, including Operational, Admin, Clinical, and Business Intelligence teams. Together, you'll work to manage and achieve the NHS Cancer Waiting Times Operational Standards and performance for the trust.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the collection, analysis, and validation of complex performance and IPT data to ensure timely, accurate, and fit-for-purpose national and statutory submissions (NHSD).

Leading and managing the Patient Pathway/MDT coordinators, working closely with the Waiting Times Manager, Deputy Cancer Manager, and General Managers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the service for cancer patients.

Managing and leading MDTs, facilitating PTLs and RTT Validation, monitoring data quality, analysing performance, and reporting.

Participating in service improvement and development initiatives.

Deputising for the Waiting Times Manager when necessary.



We are looking for someone who can lead and motivate teams with a high degree of self-motivation, has experience in people management, and possesses a keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be IT literate, able to navigate trust IT systems, and have an understanding of national Cancer Waiting Times targets.



The successful candidate will be adaptable, with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, outstanding communication and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to multitask and use initiative in a busy environment. A proactive approach to addressing targets and deadlines, while ensuring the smooth running of the service, is essential.



This role is based at CCCW, but travel across sites will be required.
