Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Practitioner to join our team in Kilmarnock as an Assistant Service Manager.

This is a full-time post working 38 hours per week (4 X 10-hour shifts, 8am-6pm) with a salary of 31,141 per annum.

Your qualifications and experience:

The successful candidate must hold an SCQF level 7 childcare qualification and be working towards level 9 in Early Years & Childcare. They must also have at least 2 years post qualifying experience in an early learning and childcare setting or similar.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality early learning and childcare for children; they will be expected to support the Service Manager and the existing team.

The Setting:

The nursery is connected to the CentreStage Village and is part of the charity Flexible Childcare Services Scotland (FCSS). FCSS is a national charity that is unique in that parents are able to book childcare by the hour, pay as they go and change their bookings each week. This flexible childcare model helps save families money on their childcare while supporting them back into education and employment, helping to distance the whole family from poverty. Thanks to partnership with East Ayrshire Council the nursery offers fully funded places for eligible 2s and all 3-5-year-olds.
