15 hours per week (2 days), with potential for overtime depending on shop needs

Salary:

9828.00 per annum (12.60 per hour)

Assistant Shop Manager

to help lead one of our vibrant charity shops.

About the Role



As Assistant Shop Manager, you'll support the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, ensuring it operates efficiently, meets sales targets, and provides an outstanding customer experience. You'll also play a key role in recruiting and supporting volunteers, managing stock, and promoting our mission through excellent service and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities



Support the Shop Manager in achieving sales and income targets through in-store and online sales. Help manage stock levels, ensuring high-quality donations and effective rotation. Deliver excellent customer service and foster a welcoming shop environment. Assist with volunteer recruitment, training, and development. Maintain shop standards, including merchandising, cleanliness, and health & safety. Act as keyholder and cover for the Shop Manager when required. Contribute to social media and local engagement to promote the shop.

What We're Looking For



Essential:



Retail experience with a track record of achieving targets. Strong communication and customer service skills. Organisational ability and IT literacy. A proactive, team-oriented approach and a passion for charity retail.

Desirable:



Experience in charity retail and working with volunteers. Knowledge of EPOS systems and visual merchandising. Understanding of the SVP's ethos and values.
