BKP Waste & Recycling

are experts in environmental services, with their brand new Transfer Station designed in-line with the highest standards of engineering and design, and Industrial Packaging Decontamination Process to allow for maximum reuse of large containers and recycling of plastic and steel components.

Requirements:



Experience managing people and building an operational team in a waste or environmental background essential. Experience of H&S/Compliance responsibility for an operational site essential. Strong motivator and staff management skills required in addition to ability to implement health and safety focused culture, process improvements, cost saving and environmental impact solutions. Minimum BSc in Chemistry. CoTC desirable. IOSH desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities



? Ensuring full compliance with the site permits

? Full Health and Safety awareness and methods worked to at all times

? Waste acceptance and compliance with pre-acceptance

? Organisation of site operators

? Liaising with Senior Chemist and Process Chemist to ensure sufficient staffing cover across all areas of the site

? Stock control and maintenance below permit limits

? Compliance with HSE segregation guidelines

? Assessment, organisation, and upkeep of staff training requirements including new starter inductions and training programs are organised and adhered to

? Responsibility for contractor inductions and permit-to-work implementation

? Liaising with site management to best implement day to day work requirements

? Liaising with relevant authorities as the job demands

? Assistance with planning for the future growth of the site and the company as a larger whole

? Holiday and illness cover for the Site Manager

? Assisting the Site Manager with team development and morale to ensure a strong, positive example at all times

? Any other reasonable duties required to achieve the company aims

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 40,000.00 per year
