Assistant Stock Accountant

Job Description


Our Finance team is currently looking for an Assistant Stock Accountant to join our team in Larbert on a full time, permanent basis.

To be responsible for a variety of issues relating to stock, whether daily stock reconciliations, credit note requests, queries from accounts payable and assessing month end accruals. Working with other team members to provide a first class service to other arrears of the business, challenging where appropriate but ensuring all issues are dealt with on a timely basis

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing and processing requests coming into the stock authorisation mailbox, ensuring that these are turned around in a quick and efficient manner
  • Responsible for reviewing and processing credit note requests from the business on a timely manner
  • Learning and providing cover for processes undertaken by other team members
  • Processing stock transactions through retail and terminal sites
  • Processing invoices relating to accounts where the company pays for product in advance
  • Posting month end journals for accruals for un-invoiced charges
  • Challenging and improving existing processes
  • Ensure that you operate in adherence to financial control protocols and compliance
