We are The Crafters Emporium we have 4 shops in Oxfordshire supporting a growing number of makers/stockists local and surrounding boarders of Oxfordshire. What makes us different? We love to support local businesses and giving back to the community every shop we have is geared for the local community.
We set up our business 6 years ago and have grown immensely. We are now in the position to have a fully ledged team in our Bicester store which you could be a part of. Being a part of something completely different and impactful on the community.

Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management of the store, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a passion for retail management. The Assistant Manager will assist in driving sales performance while fostering a positive work environment. The Assistant manager will help support crafters and stockists and be able to support the Store Manager to achieve targets and goals, in addition to creating a strong and able team.

Duties



Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and management of the retail environment. Lead and motivate staff (with Store Manager assistance) to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service. Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising. Implement promotional activities and ensure compliance with company policies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Conduct staff training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques. Maintain an organised store layout that promotes a positive shopping experience. Monitor sales performance and provide feedback to improve overall results. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and record keeping.

Qualifications



Proven experience in retail management or a similar role is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on team development. Proficiency in sales management techniques to drive business growth. Strong administrative skills to support operational functions within the store. A passion to supporting small businesses alike and providing expectational care A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing the shopping experience.

It is a part-time position we are looking for between 16-22 hours a week in support of our Store Manager. Pay is negotiable (and based on experience) but begins at 14.80 an hour during probation and 16.50 an hour after probation, pay reviews are every October along with bonuses and performance reviews, annual bonuses of up to 2,500. We may close the job advert once we have the ideal candidate for the job prior to the end of the original close date.
