Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to support our store operations and drive performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves assisting the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of merchandising.

The Purpose of the role



To support the store manager with the day to day store operations and ensure customer satisfaction while meeting and exceeding performance targets

Person Specification



A good team leader with plenty of self-motivation and a high energy level Able to communicate effectively with a variety of people at all levels Committed to the needs of the customer and business Adaptable to the environment or scenario and a quick thinker Be comfortable in a fast-moving, pressurised environment Organised and disciplined with good time management to achieve the best results.

Responsibilities and Key Duties:



An assistant store managers role will include but is not limited to:

Managing People



Maintain a customer-focused culture by assisting the store manager in their methods Maintain a fun and professional working environment to increase sales and ensure efficiency Assist in the training and development of new employees in line with Subway standards Performance management of existing employees under the authority of the store manager Delegate tasks fairly amongst employees to ensure the store is compliant with Subway and local council guidelines Ensure that team leaders are confident in all aspects of the responsibilities

Managing Operations



Provide a consistently high quality product and service to customers Handle customer complaints and communicate these with your store manager Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock/prep control to ensure high quality products are available at all times Ensure 100% compliance in accordance with Subway and local council food safety guidelines Ensure 100% compliance in accordance with Subway and local council cleanliness guidelines Ensure that health and safety standards are upheld at all times to provide a safe working environment for employees and customers Ensure the day to day tasks of the business are completed in a timely manner Implement in store marketing material and POP in line with campaigns

Managing Finances



Manage stock levels and delivery procedures to avoid missing stock or excessive stock levels along with minimising wastage Manage shift staffing levels to ensure productivity and labour KPI targets are met Perform weekly inventory analysis to improve the business Manage daily and weekly cash handling procedures, ensure banking is completed correctly and minimise variances Ensure financial paperwork is kept up to date and organised correctly for accounts purposes including invoices and payroll documentation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
