Assistant Restaurant Manager

Duties

Assist the Store/Restaurant Manager in supervising day-to-day restaurant operations. Support staff in delivering exceptional customer service and handling guest concerns promptly. Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain quality and consistency. Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and control waste to optimize costs. Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve performance goals. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. Help manage scheduling, shift coverage, and timekeeping for staff. Assist in tracking sales, preparing reports, and driving initiatives to boost revenue. Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store/Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the food or hospitality industry is highly preferred. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team. Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety and customer service standards. Basic financial knowledge, including cash handling, sales reporting, and inventory management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure with a positive attitude. Excellent organizational and time management skills. A proactive approach with a willingness to take initiative and solve problems effectively.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 11.44-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
