We have a vacancy for an Assistant Team Manager in our 0-25 Disability team in Ammanford - a busy team working with children and young adults with a disability with responsibility for child protection, care experienced children and young people children and adults in need of care and support and adult safeguarding.


The successful candidate will hold a small, complex caseload and fulfil the supervisory role to a limited number of Social Workers.


We know that good Social Workers can make the world of difference to children and families who need support, and we are committed to making sure our Social Workers have what they need to do their jobs.


We are looking for an inspiring, enthusiastic and energetic person who can work collaboratively and guide and motivate a team to deliver a quality service to children, young people and their families, holding Social Workers to a high standard of practice.


Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience of statutory social work practice with disabled children and young people, including adult safeguarding or child protection and be able to apply legislation and guidance.


Being a social worker in Carmarthenshire means joining a service which has strong foundations, a stable management team and a dedicated workforce who pull together. We will make sure you are equipped and supported to do the job you love.
