We at Siemens Mobility Rail Infrastructure are looking for an Assistant Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Croydon. The Assistant Test Engineer will become a (SWTH Module 5) or a Verification Tester (SWTH Module 3C)

What are your Key responsibilities?

• Ensure health, safety and environmental requirements are complied with both at the site depot and work sites.
• Promote a zero accident / incident culture and environment.
• Manage their testing and commissioning activities in accordance with the project programme and budget requirements.
• Ensure that their testing and commissioning is carried out and recorded in accordance with correct and up to date drawings, plans, specifications, and computer software and data.
• Ensure that the quality of the testing and commissioning is in accordance with SMO, client, manufacturers and legal procedures, processes, regulations, and standards.
• Liaise with the Tester in Charge, Construction Managers, Design Managers and Project Engineers in respect of issues associated with signalling testing and commissioning procedures.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• HNC/HND/Degree/ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Ful clean driving license
• Be willing to work towards an IRSE (Institute of Railway Signalling Engineers) License as a Verification Tester or Assistant Tester.
• Interested in Railway, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Be willing to work nights, bank holidays, weekends and be willing to travel (Christmas & New Year working is essential too).
• Be willing to travel around the different projects that one gets assigned to (you will not work at one base).
