The purpose of this role is to support the development, planning and execution of key multi-category marketing events in which Currys help our customers enjoy amazing technology and driving profitable growth. Your role will include working closely with key business functions such as marketing and omni-channels, as well as our customer and commercial teams. This is an exciting and important role where no week will be the same.



In your day-to-day role you will be assisting the Central Promo Planning team and the Marketing Planning team in managing and executing events within our trade plan. You will also get the opportunity to own some multi-category events to bring amazing concepts to life.



You will support the Central Promo Planning team with administrative work to ensure a smooth Quarterly Promo & Event Planning Process (QPEP), including setting up documents, collation of actions taken through the process and following up to ensure these actions are delivered across the CCO function. As we move into the event execution phase, you will support the Central Promo Planning team by leading on our deals list collation process, a key deliverable to successful events.



Alongside supporting the Promo Planning Team, you will also help support Marketing Planning with administrative work to ensure planning and execution of Amazing Tech & Amazing Offer campaigns, including managing the campaign milestone critical path tracker.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Promo Planning Manager with creation and maintenance of Quarterly Promo & Event Planning (QPEP) documents Manage action tracking across Quarterly Promo & Event Planning (QPEP) meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are kept up to date with outstanding actions Where owning initiatives: create amazing briefs, manage your initiative through the Quarterly Promo & Event Planning Process (QPEP) and sign off the plan Support the Promo Planning Manager with the creation, tracking and management of promo deals list for multi-category events and promotional periods throughout the year Owner of competitor tracking during in-promo quarters to support Promo Planning Manager Assist the Promo Planning Manager across Peak planning and execution (Black Friday, Christmas & January Sale) with ad-hoc tasks where required Assist the Central Promo Planning team with our annual planning process, helping to create and scope out new and exciting events and propositions for the following year's trade plan Owner of our new tech process, helping to bring exciting new tech launches to market

Required Skills & Experience:





Effective problem-solving acumen Strong planning and organisational skills, with good attention to detail to ensure line level accuracy Marketing experience - ideally in the fast-paced retail environment Good level of commercial acumen Creative approach to problem solving Excellent numerical and analytical skills to review data and provide recommendations/actions plans to drive sales, profit and cash Ability to build relationships and be a team player Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, capable of presenting to team forums as well as working cross functionally to achieve the desired results Must be a driven individual who can demonstrate strong tenacity and resilience
