Job Description

Key Accountabilities & Role Requirements



Support the underwriting team in reviewing and analysing risk submissions Assist with exposure management, pricing tools, and data analysis Contribute to market research and development of sector knowledge in Power & Renewables Contribute to the technical assessment of risks, including review of engineering reports, loss histories, and project documentation. Support underwriting decisions by conducting benchmarking, historical performance reviews, and comparison across peer risks. Maintain accurate risk data within internal systems and tools, support portfolio roll-ups and exposure summaries for internal reporting. Run exposure analyses across key geographies and asset types using internal or vendor models. Assist in the monitoring of aggregate exposure to CAT perils and maintain bordereaux and data integrity.

Skills & Competencies Required



Communication skills - ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external clients and brokers at all levels, both verbally and in writing Administrative skills - highly organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively. Applicants should have excellent attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines Presentation skills - ability to present to internal and external stakeholders Analytical skills - numerically literate and able to analyse data Compliance - ability to ensure compliance with all management and regulatory controls As part of the applicant's progression to attaining underwriting authority, the additional competencies expected include:


Judgement / Decision-making skills - ability to approach problems logically and rationally and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data to make measured risk decisions Relationship building - ability and confidence to establish and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders (such as brokers, clients, and reinsurers) in a client-facing role
