Job Description

Corporate Banking is a client facing department, responsible for marketing, onboarding and ongoing management of the client relationships, undertaking lending business with clients as well as promoting ancillary business according to the bank's business strategy and risk appetite. As an Assistant Vice President - Project Finance, you will be responsible to assist with the analysis, structuring and execution of Project Finance transactions as well as ECA/Multinational Development Bank covered transactions within the designated region. You will manage the existing portfolio, develop and expand the Bank's Project Finance business and ancillary opportunities, so as to facilitate the delivery of strategy and business objectives of the Bank. This is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities



Liaise with Head Office and the Group's international network to support the development of the Bank's international Project Finance business and provide high quality products and services to the Bank's clients Prepare business proposals, credit analysis and financial modelling as required and help to drive the internal credit process in line with the Bank's policies and procedures Collaborate with in-house and external lawyers to complete facility documentation and ensure the agreements are acceptable and protect the Bank's interests Support the cross-selling of other departments' products to existing and potential clients within the region, with particular focus on the development of Derivatives, DCM and other ancillary businesses Conduct and fulfil KYC and KYB compliance requirements, and any other legal and compliance requirements per internal and regulatory policies Manage a designated portfolio of existing transactions, including the active portfolio management of a subset of existing clients. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, conducting annual reviews, handling waiver requests and completing all associated post-lending management tasks in accordance with the Bank policies and procedures Collaborate with other departments as required to produce relevant statistics and analysis Update and maintain accurate client/credit files Mentor and train junior staff

Requirements



Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred Solid work experience in the Project Finance sector in a major international banking group Good understanding of Project Finance lending products and activities Excellent credit analysis skills Familiar with all applicable FCA regulations Ability to navigate around and understand loan documentation Proven analytical skills, business judgment and acumen Financial modelling skills are preferred Understanding of loan pricing methodology and allocation of economic capital is preferred Excellent communication skills Fluency in Mandarin is preferred Good customer service skills Team player with good interpersonal skills
