The Associate Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the Accounting & Finance department by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with reporting tasks.This position in Newcastle upon Tyne is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, and wanting to progress their career in a fast paced environment.
As an Associate Accountant you will be expected to:

• Prepare and maintain accurate year end accounts, vat returns.
• Assist in the ongoing management accounting and cloud accounting uptake/integration from clients
• Support the reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Contribute to process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.

A successful Associate Accountant should have:

• A degree or qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience or familiarity with accounting software and tools. (minimum 2 years)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A good understanding of financial principles and regulations.
• Ideally experience working with various accounting software - Xero, Sage, QuickBooks (desirable not necessary)
• Will be able to commute to Newcastle upon Tyne
