As an associate, you will leverage your excellent analytical skills and good judgment to advise clients on multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartels, State aid, compliance, foreign direct investment, Foreign Subsidies (FSR), competition litigation and consumer law matters. You will be highly organised, self-motivated, and a team player with a strong professional presence and client focus.
Our team has extensive experience across the full spectrum of antitrust work, having played pivotal roles in some of the most high-profile UK and European cases in recent years. From landmark M&A deals to groundbreaking cartel and antitrust litigation, your expertise will be deployed at the forefront of significant legal developments, and you will work on cases that set legal precedents.

Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on core competition law matters, including merger control, cartel and antitrust investigations, and day-to-day compliance and counseling.
Support cross-border merger reviews and coordinate multi-jurisdictional filings.
Represent clients in proceedings before competition authorities and support both internal and external investigations.
Provide strategic advice on antitrust risk arising from commercial agreements and business practices.
Contribute to matters involving foreign direct investment (FDI) screening and subsidy control (a plus).
Assist in competition litigation, including case preparation, legal research, and drafting submissions.
Take ownership of matters with a high degree of autonomy, managing and coordinating antitrust filings.
Conduct in-depth legal research and draft key documents.
Identify and pursue business development opportunities and contribute to firm-wide strategic initiatives.
Engage proactively with clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
Collaborate closely with partners and contribute to mentoring and developing junior team members.
Develop and share legal and sector knowledge both internally and externally through training, publications, and client alerts
Qualifications and Skills
Qualified solicitor with 1-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in antitrust and competition law.
Experience in advising on multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartels, dominance, and State aid. Experience in FDI and FSR would be helpful but not essential.
Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, creative thinker.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to prioritise and multi-task particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Able to interact positively at all levels and be a good team player.
Driven by professional growth with strong professional presence.

Location and Reporting
This role is based in our London office. This role reports to the London Antitrust Partners.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
