Position Summary

:



In this role as an Associate, you will specifically be focused on and exposed to all aspects of the partnerships lifecycle within Credit Cards and Payments. The Associate, International Partnerships will report to the Senior Manager, International Partnerships and ultimately up to the President who leads the overall business globally.

The International Partnerships practice is responsible for the delivery of work to a variety of international clients and the individual will be able to support engagements in a range of countries and continents. You will be responsible for playing a supporting role in the delivery of client engagements, the development of new business, assisting the research and analysis underlying industry thought leadership pieces, and supporting the Roundtable practice at peak periods.

This is an exciting and unique role that provides a gateway into the Consumer Payments and Lending Industry. We are looking for someone who is deadline-focused, intrinsically motivated, enjoys working in a client-facing role, meeting with senior business leaders, and has a desire to work for an established business with growth opportunities. Extensive training will be provided, so experience in the sector or role is not essential.

Principal Responsibilities:



Delivery of Client Engagements (80%)



Assist in delivery of consulting assignments for clients as part of small project teams. Ability to apply subject matter knowledge in support of client projects, taking direction from senior colleagues. Writing and creation of PowerPoint, Excel and Word presentations and project documents. Support financial analysis and scenario modelling to inform client decision-making on card portfolios. Participate in existing client relationship management. Assist in fulfilling ad hoc client requests.

Development of New Business (10%)



Support the practice business development efforts through research and information gathering about relevant companies, industries and regulatory changes leading to proposal and client presentation development. Work with the Client Growth Director[MJ2] and other senior colleagues to maintain ongoing relationship with key clients and to identify opportunities to support them in future projects.

Other Activities (10%)



Research and Analysis - help to develop and distribute industry thought leadership relevant to the Partnerships space, and Auriemma in general. Maintenance of practice management documents and processes - development, update and maintenance of market data tracking tools, card portfolio updates and prospect lists. Support for the Roundtable practice - at peak periods (2-3 times per year) be available to provide support to our Roundtable practice at the events they hold for industry practitioners to meet and discuss key topics - likely to include some travel within the UK.

Skills and Experience:



A strong record of academic and professional performance. 1-5 years of relevant experience - including work placements or internships. Experience in credit cards, payments and/or a consultancy background preferred but not essential. Basic subject matter knowledge in a relevant technical discipline such as marketing strategy/analytics, product management/product development, finance. PowerPoint and Word skills to create presentations that effectively communicate complicated concepts/proposals using diagrams and tables. Skilled knowledge and facility with Excel, including the ability to build basic financial models and data tracking workbooks. Analytical skills (i.e., ability to identify correlations, trends, and inconsistencies in data). Strong interpersonal skills, able to build friendly and effective working relationships easily with clients based around the globe. Desire and ability to be part of a team in client-facing meetings and assist in presentations with corporate executives. Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and handle regular peak workload periods. Previous project management experience and ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects would be beneficial.

Other Requirements:



A home working environment free from distractions. Space for a laptop, multiple monitors, and a reliable internet connection. Ideal candidate would be within a 1-hour radius of London. Travel between 10-20%, as needed, with regular face-to-face meetings with line manager, particularly during the first few months in role.
