Associate Consultant, Team Lead

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Who We Are Looking For

Crisis24's Crisis Security Consulting (CSC) team is looking for a Team Leader (TL) for its UK-based Associate Consultant Team. The TL is responsible for an ever-growing team that supports a wide variety of projects and analytical reports. The successful candidate will be based within the UK and Europe team in our London offices, but can anticipate regular travel overseas to support response and consulting tasks. A candidate with leadership skills, strong geopolitical knowledge and interest, language abilities and a willingness and adaptability to support and review bespoke deliverables and projects is sought after. The TL will lead a team of four Associate Consultants, all of whom are educated to a master's (MA) level in a sector-relevant subject matter and with 1-3 years of relevant work experience and language abilities. The TL does not need to have led a team before, but will be sufficiently experienced to set a strong example in technical skills and work ethic to inspire those in the team. Quality Assurance and Control of written reports will be an important responsibility for the TL.

What You Will Work On

The successful candidate will lead the Associate Consultant Team and manage its workflow in support of the broader Crisis and Security Consulting department. The TL and the Associate Consultants will work on bespoke reporting and threat assessments across geographies and threat types, analysing data and presenting it to clients, supporting operations on the ground during domestic and international deployments, and editing and proofing the work of your peers. The TL will ensure tasks are distributed across the team and that internal and external stakeholders receive high-quality support in a timely manner. The candidate will also need to support out-of-hours tasks when required, as part of a wider team "on-call" rotation system (a week of "on call" every 10-11 weeks, approximately). The TL will quickly become adept at multiple types of task delivery, which will support their professional development within Crisis24.

Who You Will Work With

The successful candidate will lead the UK Associate Consultant team and work closely with a similar team based in South Africa and supporting international consulting across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, as well as our Special Risks, All Hazards, and Product Risks response team. From time to time, the TL may collaborate with the wider Crisis24 group and GardaWorld partners.
