About the Role

Established in 2016, FTI Consulting\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Citizenship Program empowers our people to make a positive impact by supporting the causes that matter to them and the communities in which they do business and live. The Program includes employee matching for charitable contributions, paid time off for volunteering and company sponsored pro bono engagements. In 2022, 32% of employees participated in our Corporate Citizenship Program, supporting more than 1,200 charitable organizations, including volunteering more than 6,700 hours and contributing over $6.1 million in pro bono services to support a wide variety of charitable and community-based organizations around the globe.

This role reports to the Global Corporate Citizenship team and is responsible for supporting 2,600+ professionals across EMEA with Corporate Citizenship. The role will help coordinate global efforts with the global Corporate Citizenship team headquartered in North America; help inform strategy for Corporate Citizenship globally; align to the UN Sustainable Development Goals; deliver key events across EMEA including World Earth Day and Giving Tuesday; and support the development of global reports and disclosures including the firm\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Sustainability Report and ESG-related questionnaires. The role will coordinate bespoke programmes, including our longstanding Experts in Schools and our Charity Partner Programme.

The Corporate Citizenship Associate will support the Corporate Communications department to run day-to-day components of FTI Consulting\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Citizenship Program on a company-wide, global basis, including charitable contributions, volunteering and pro bono engagements. The Associate will also assist with employee inquiries on the program and will work closely with our local office Champions across EMEA and beyond in the development of initiatives and giving campaigns.

The Associate will work to engage employees in Corporate Citizenship initiatives across geographies, business functions and levels through the creation of engaging written and visual content for the Company\xe2\x80\x99s global intranet, annual Corporate Sustainability report, Corporate Citizenship portal, quarterly newsletters, press releases, social media accounts and various internal and external communications platforms.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

Program Oversight and Tactical Execution:

  • Participate and assist in the planning of quarterly meetings and ongoing engagement with Corporate Citizenship Champions and empower EMEA Corporate Citizenship Champions to serve as program advocates through quarterly trainings, rollout of new initiatives, resource and collateral kits and guidance on local-level initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and execution of strategic partnerships with local and national nonprofit organizations in EMEA, including the ongoing skills-based volunteering partnership with Young Citizens for the Experts in Schools programme. Work with internal and external partners to deliver an impactful programme.
  • Champion FTI Consulting\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Citizenship programme to all EMEA colleagues, working with the EMEA Corporate Citizenship Champions to present at Town Halls and team meetings and overseeing the integration of Corporate Citizenship into their daily duties to raise awareness and participation in the programme.
  • Support the promotion of pro bono engagements and initiatives focused on FTI Consulting\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to support social justice and diversity initiatives.
  • Help drive the firm\xe2\x80\x99s signature Corporate Citizenship campaigns (including World Earth Day, STEPtember, Giving Tuesday, etc.) and event-driven Corporate Citizenship campaigns, and develop ideas for new campaigns.
Reporting & Strategy
  • Support the development of Corporate Citizenship programs and policies as well as provide programmatic updates based on regulatory and firm-driven changes.
  • Contribute to Corporate Citizenship reporting, including the annual Corporate Sustainability Report, as well as support updates to program policies, as well as relevant disclosures, ratings and reporting to the Board.
  • Assist with compiling quarterly updates on pro bono engagement, as well as annual summaries of total impact (e.g., organizations supported, hours contributed).
  • Collaborate with cross-regional and segment leaders to gather insights and ideas on how to make the Corporate Citizenship program more impactful.
  • Continually research the corporate social responsibility landscape and trends to ensure best practices are followed.
Communications
  • Draft original content and post news to the Corporate Citizenship portal and develop responses for employee inquiries.
  • Educate client-facing professionals and help respond to client inquiries about Corporate Citizenship related programs and policies.
  • Engage with the PR and Social Media teams to support social media engagement and earned media promotion of our corporate citizenship efforts, with the responsibility to expand and protect our company reputation in the area of corporate social responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Communications teams to contribute content promoting our corporate citizenship efforts to FTI Consulting employees globally.
  • Collaborate with DI&B and Sustainability leads on initiatives and activities supported by Corporate Citizenship (e.g., Earth Day, International Women\xe2\x80\x99s Day).
  • Support recruiting and talent development teams to ensure Corporate Citizenship policies programs and initiatives are communicated to their respective audiences.

The Corporate Citizenship Associate would be an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently graduated college and is looking to begin their career in Corporate Communications, with an emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility, at a global management consulting firm.

Basic Qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Degree in English, Communications, Marketing or Journalism (or related degree)
  • Experience using SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint 2016
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Social Media
Preferred Qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Prior communications internship with Corporate Communications/PR firm
  • Understanding of budgeting and payment processes
  • Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) related initiatives
  • Experience using email management/distribution platform (i.e., Knak, Eloqua)
