Position Overview
The Corporate Communications team at Apollo, which leads all communications, corporate brand and corporate marketing activities globally is seeking a high-achieving team-member who is a self-starter with strong writing and project management skills, media relations experience and exceptional judgement. Ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, adaptable and intellectually curious. This role will sit in the London office and help cover Apollo's European Platform which encompasses approx. of the firm's AUM.
Primary Responsibilities:
The corporate communications role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including:Working with other members of Apollo Corp. Comms team and leaders across the business to help develop and implement strategic communications plans to support corporate objectives Supporting drafting press releases, briefing notes, talking points, and internal and external content, including social media Performing a variety of research duties, including traditional and social media monitoring, reporter backgrounders, conference/events vetting Following, distributing and analyzing real-time media coverage around announcements and ongoing firm news Planning and helping to execute both internal and external speaking engagements on behalf of senior executives Supporting the team's work on media engagement, developing story ideas, and issues monitoring Media relations support and engagement, including proactive pitching and transaction support Research, planning and execution associated with key external engagements including conferences and speaking; assistance on ad-hoc projects as needed Supporting amplification efforts for earned across owned and paid, including helping develop ideas for content such as case studies, etc.

Qualifications & Experience3-6 years of relevant experience in communications (corporate or agency) with expertise in financial, transactional and corporate communications and media relations Exceptional writer and communicator; excellent project management skills Strong work ethic with flexible and adaptable work style in order to operate efficiently under tight deadlines; self-motivated Proven ability to consistently make sound judgments, engage and build trust and effectively collaborate with others Strong project management skills Strong team/interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently Experience or deep understanding of communicating across varied platforms, content types and technologies Experience in developing metrics to quantify results to measure the team's effectiveness Acute attention to detail, ability to multi-task, willingness and desire to learn Unquestionable professional and personal integrity A team-player and self-starter, with a positive attitude Experience in investment management industry and specifically private capital desired Bachelor's degree
