We are looking to recruit to the post of Associate Dental Dean (Workforce). As a result of NHS England's (NHSE) integration into the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), please note that the end date for all new educator secondments/posts will be 31st October 2026. The post is 16 hours per week.
The role of the Associate Dental Dean (Workforce) is to work with and support the NHS England Regional Postgraduate Dean and other Associate Dental Deans in leading the delivery of a wide range of functions that exist to deliver a dental workforce, aligned to the NHS England mandate.
The Post holder will be employed on the GP Dental Clinical Educator Pay scale. Appointments at other pay scales will not be considered.
First time Associate Deans will be employed at GP03.
The Associate Dental Dean (Workforce) is professionally and managerially accountable to the Regional Postgraduate Dean. The role will focus upon the delivery and improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future. The role is evolving and will also focus on whole workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links as well as innovative ways of curriculum delivery and workforce well-being strategies.
