vocational trainer role supervising PLVE candidates,

overseas-qualified dentists working towards Performer List validation.

, supporting overseas-qualified colleagues as they integrate into UK dental practice.


To Be Eligible as a PLVE Trainer, You Must:




Clinical Experience:




At least

4 years of post-GDC registration

clinical experience. Minimum

2 years in NHS primary care

. Currently working in an NHS dental practice eligible to host PLVE candidates.

NHS Performer Status:




Active NHS Performer Number in good standing.

Training Requirements:




Completion of an

approved PLVE Trainer Preparation Course

, or be prepared to complete the course, and we will help/assist, such as:

+ NHS 'Train the Trainer' (FutureLearn / e-LfH) online course.
+ Local Health Education England (HEE) programmes.

Safeguarding (Level 2/3)

and

Equality & Diversity

training.

Practice Readiness:




Willingness to support an educational inspection by the deanery. Capacity to provide:

+ Clinical supervision.
+ Evidence of CPD.
+ A supportive learning environment.

4+ years post-qualification experience
