The Associate Director, Global Commercial Forecasting and Analytics, Gastroenterology (GI) will support and report to the GI Director of Global Commercial Insights and Analytics. Primary responsibilities include developing compound and portfolio forecasts for the Gastroenterology Disease Area within Immunology.


Individuals who will thrive in this role are motivated by working with a close-knit team of experienced industry leaders who are deeply motivated to create profound change for patients and advocate for stakeholders. This forecasting role utilizes secondary data sources, market research insights, real world evidence platforms and competitive intelligence to inform strategic commercial decisions in support of Immunology product development.


Responsibilities include forecasting and analytics for early pipeline compounds through late stage/marketed products and involves close collaboration with: Commercial Marketing, R&D, Finance, Market Access, Business Development and Global Analytics colleagues.


While forecasting is the primary responsibility of this role, gathering and synthesizing Competitive Intelligence is also a key function. This Associate Director role will join and collaborate with Market Research associates as part of GI Disease Area Insights and Analytics team.


Critical capabilities include: the ability to think analytically and lead through complexity, develop insight-based market assumptions that include an understanding of global market dynamics and translate key business questions into clear deliverables. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are also critical to this position.


The Associate Director of GI Forecasting and Analytics will work on projects across the GI portfolio and have a broad view of the therapy area and has the potential for growth. The Associate Director will have opportunities to interface with both functional and therapeutic area leadership to conduct forecast and data analytics activities.


Responsibilities include

Developing patient-based demand forecasts and conducting competitive intelligence in a timely manner and within budget constraints Monitoring, collaborating and communicating cross-functionally with other commercial insights teams, finance, medical affairs, regulatory and other key functions Present forecast and analytics to a broad, cross-functional audience, including leadership Act as an expert regarding competitive landscape/profiles in the GI Disease Area--specifically: Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease Analyze and evaluate large data sets, provide high level conclusions Due to the nature of the work, the ability to think analytically and lead through complexity, develop insight-based market assumptions that include an understanding of global market dynamics, and translating key business questions into clear deliverables will be necessary.

Requirements

A minimum of 2-4 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred. A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Experience in business analytics and other analytical areas is strongly preferred. Background in biology, data sciences, finance, science, pharmacy, preferred A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required. Forecasting experience is required. Experience with secondary pharmaceutical data sources and modeling is preferred. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required. A solid understanding of the product development process (NME declaration through launch) is preferred. Capable of leading and influencing cross-functional teams of people. Ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, and effectively manage external partners is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with demonstrated presentation skills. Curiosity and growth mindset to learn and build/improve skill sets This position requires up to 10% travel.

This position is primarily based Horsham, PA and will require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
