Job Description

The post holder will work with the Chief Nursing Officer to provide strong leadership and subject matter expertise in, Clinical Audit, Compliance, Quality Governance and Risk Management. They will work with the quality agenda to develop, embed and drive continuous improvement.



Please note that this is not a remote role and it requires on site presence.



The post holder will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and will be able to demonstrate significant senior level experience managing quality governance, clinical effectiveness, risk and compliance. The post holder will be a credible, motivated and self-starting individual, capable or working with minimal supervision.



They will be expected to lead on the delivery of a robust and evolving quality governance, risk, compliance and clinical effectiveness framework to ensure accountability and transparency and where quality assurance is integrated alongside quality improvements.



Where appropriate, the post-holder will support the wider Executive team in the delivery of key Trust documents such at the Quality Account and support improvement in the quality of information and reports presented to the Trust Board.



The post-holder will ensure that there are effective monitoring processes in place; Ward to Board integrated reporting that will promote effective escalation of risks and concerns that have the potential to affect patient outcomes or compliance standards.



The post-holder will additionally have a responsibility to help establish and monitor procedures to ensure that the Trust complies with all relevant legislation, demonstrating an in-depth professional knowledge of quality governance, risk and compliance, procedures and practice.
