The Associate Director, Patient Services Analytics will be responsible for leading the Patient Services analytics strategy and execution roadmap to support North America Oncology, Neuroscience and Rare Disease therapeutic areas and business needs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Analytics and Insights, this role will be an individual contributor and partner with Patient Services team to deliver integrated analytics & drive competitive advantage and data-driven decision-making process.
This role will be the Data, Digital and Analytics CoE point-of-contact for both internal Patient CRM HUB development and external HUB services, as well as data flow and integration from all HUB data sources. They will act as a subject matter expert to set best practice(s) methodology in Patient Services analytics and leads vendor teams to provide advanced analytics support to the Patient Services organization. They will lead and improve the way we utilize HUB, Sales, and 3rd party data and deliver patient-level analytics and insights to Ipsen stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of HUB data and analytics combined with business acumen and knowledge of the ever-changing healthcare payer environment.
The ideal candidate must be highly collaborative and customer-oriented with the ability to influence at the strategic level, drive data & analytics capabilities to business priorities, and deliver high quality analytical solutions with agility. A high level of proficiency in syndicated and custom, secondary data, for both descriptive and predictive analytics is required. They will also define key metrics for success to prove the value of analytics & insights in decision making process.
Main Responsibilities / Job expectations
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to develop and maintain key analytics and reporting capabilities for the Patient Services organization
  • Lead a proactive and systematic approach to capturing and understanding Patient Services business needs for standard and ad hoc analytics, reporting and insights generation
  • Support Patient Services team with analytics in enrollment processes
  • Lead performance / KPI development and reporting, enabling a thorough understanding of opportunities based on a variety of internal and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with Patient Services teams to investigate and explore ad-hoc data investigations for purposes of uncovering and providing insights
  • Leverage internal and external data sources to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Ipsen's Patient Services team
  • Partner with the Director, Patient Services to produce regular and ad-hoc reporting for brand leadership
  • Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership through various communication channels
  • Communicate effectively with Business Ethics and Legal to ensure compliance with sensitive data sources
  • Oversees key supplier relationships for creation and execution of Patient Services data initiatives including business ownership of internal HUB (Salesforce Healthcloud) Patient CRM development and data reporting, as well as external HUB (Mercalis) data reporting in collaboration with Patient Services team
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience
Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience:
  • Minimum 10+ years of Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Devices industry experience
  • 5+ years of commercial business experience.
Languages:
  • English
Key Technical Competencies Required
  • Deep knowledge of patient level and specialty pharmacy data to enable insights generation
  • Understanding of patient enrollment process and patient journey for Rare, Oncology, and Neuroscience products
  • Hands-on Knowledge of the patient data, ability to design analytics from scratch to suit business needs
  • Experience with analyzing complex situations and processes and effectively integrating and synthesizing the data to form a complete cohesive picture for actionable insights
  • Familiarity in designing, implementing and using an advanced analytical algorithms to support predictive analytics initiatives for patient services
  • Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build and maintain credibility with Leadership, Patient Services, and Brand stakeholders
  • Advanced analytics and data visualization skills using Excel as well as Tableau / Power BI for data analytics, visualization and modelling
  • Ability to lead without reporting authority and to achieve outcomes in a matrixed, complex environment - leading through influence and deep collaboration across the franchise and internal functions
  • Strong organizational skills and time management; ability to manage diverse range of simultaneous projects and priorities
  • Ability to lead and manage vendor resources supporting analytics
The annual base salary range for this position is $172,000 - $210,000

The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and demonstrated skills.
