Job Title Associate Director, Repo. Financing Services, Funding & Lending, Capital Markets Ops



What is the opportunity?

You will be responsible for BCS Repo Financing Services and non-cleared OTC Derivatives Collateral Management functions in Europe.

Managing a high performing collateral management team, working closely with front office, functions, and external counterparties in ensuring all margin exposures are covered daily.

What will you do?

Responsible for overseeing relevant activities performed on behalf of RBC Capital Markets, including oversight of BAU operational procedures, issue management and escalation of matters requiring management support/decision making

Drive continuous change and improvement keeping all areas of responsibility abreast of regulatory, compliance and business led initiatives

Ensure that each support group is leveraging existing technology, coordinates enhancements to improve working processes and works closely with the front office

To ensure accurate and timely deal processing and settlement, mark to market exposure monitoring payments, confirmations and regulatory reporting; all completed in accordance with Standing Orders and Unit Financial Control requirements

As a people manager role, ensure that staff are fully aware of their mandates, receive proper training and execute their duties in accordance with Standing Orders and Unit Financial Controls

Coordination and collaboration with colleagues and partners located in different region and across legal entities.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Knowledge of Repo and Securities Finance product and collateral

Experienced people manager

The nature of being in a management role in Operations requires rapid but objective assessment on issues relating to the business and trading floor practices, especially when under pressure and tight deadlines

Be able to confidently collaborate with Information Technology, Finance, Global Market Business, Legal and Compliance, Group Risk Management, External providers (system vendors, ICSDs, CSDs, Tri-party agents, etc.)

Need to have strong securities and cash settlements knowledge.

Nice-to-have

Macro VBA skills

Experience with APEX, GLOSS, RIMMS, Colline and Acadia Margin Manager.
