AECOM\'s UK Transaction Advisory team is looking to recruit at an Associate / Associate Director level, to join an established team. The candidate will have the desire to develop and focus their reporting and advisory skills, through project delivery, client care and management and building a revenue base. Key responsibilities will be to deliver a backlog of existing advisory mandates across social and economic infrastructure sectors under a project finance banner, where asset management is a key focus, and thereafter focus on client delivery and advice, in order to enhance AECOM\'s Transaction Advisory\'s service capability.

In addition to existing advisory mandates and the asset management of those mandates in economic and social infrastructure which requires the Transaction Advisory team to deliver a range of core project finance services, including PPP / PFI, lifecycle, operational and payment reviews, and quasi-development / property finance, new mandates are focused on carbon net zero.

You will be a key member of the team, helping and ensuring high-quality technical reporting, analysis and advice to clients that include NGO\'s / commercial banks / infrastructure funds and funding institutions, all of which supports current as well as new workloads.

Job Duties:

  • Identification of qualifying economic infrastructure projects for delivery through participation in technical, financial and risk discussions with clients;
  • Delivery of analytical and thoughtful advice on infrastructure transactions;
  • Identification of sector pursuits and where advice can be offered across the client base;
  • Building and develop effective working relationships with colleagues, intermediaries and other networks to help client delivery and develop further opportunities;
  • Develop your knowledge and skills to ensure good technical infrastructure knowledge;
  • Contribute to the knowledge management of the Transaction Advisory team and wider Asset Management team;
  • Own and manage the delivery of a set amount of project work and client relationships;
  • Maintain a quality of delivery and advice in order to build your own client base as well as developing relationships with existing clients;
  • Utilise in-house project management systems / protocols to assist your development.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Construction and / or Engineering related subjects (Architecture; Architectural Technology; Building Surveying; Building Services Engineering; Civil Engineering; Construction Management; Electrical Engineering; Environmental Engineering Mechanical Engineering; Environmental Engineering and / or Quantity Surveying)
  • Formal professional qualification, or substantially en-route to achieving a full professional qualification (RIBA; RICS; CEng,)
  • 3+ years experience in asset management, transactions, project and / or development finance
  • 10+ years experience in construction and / or core engineering / infrastructure discipline
  • Experience in the construction and engineering market; or
  • Experience in technical asset management, transactions, project and / or development finance
  • Proven experience of working on several projects, meeting deadlines and working under pressure within a business unit with internal and external clients;
  • Excellent communication (both spoken and written);
  • Strong numerical ability;
  • Curiosity, awareness and an interest in the fields of science, technology and innovation
