Role Overview





Motion Applied develops advanced electronic systems, including ECUs used in the world's most iconic motorsport series. We're looking for an Associate Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of high-performance firmware for motorsport applications.



This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced engineering environment, contributing to real-time embedded solutions for vehicle control, data acquisition, and telemetry.

Key Responsibilities





Assist in the design and development of embedded software for ECUs and control systems. Work with hardware interfaces and motorsport protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet). Support testing, debugging, and validation of embedded systems. Occasional trackside support may be required. Collaborate with engineers across software, electronics, and race operations. Document code and contribute to design reviews and team discussions.



Qualifications & Experience





Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Solid foundation in C or C++ programming for embedded systems. Exposure to microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS). Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, UART. Enthusiasm for motorsport and embedded technology.



Desirable Attributes





Internship or project experience in embedded systems or motorsport. Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python). Understanding of electronics and ability to read schematics. Willingness to learn and take on new technical challenges. Interest in F1 systems and race engineering environments.
