Role overview

Introduction to the role:

We are looking for a technically sound employment lawyer with demonstrable experience across a full range of employment matters including non-contentious, contentious, corporate support and advisory, with a minimum level of supervision.

You will be given plenty of client responsibility and exposure but at the same time be part of a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities:



Providing legal advice to a broad range of clients, from company owners and managers, HR professionals and in-house lawyers, to public and private sector organisations, as well as senior employees and executives, on a range of employment matters. Undertake all aspects of employment law including drafting various employment documents, maternity and paternity rights, discrimination, whistleblowing, employee relations issues, disciplinary matters and grievances, mediation, dismissals, redundancy, TUPE and employment tribunal claims. Build and maintain client relationships. Build and maintain inter-departmental relationships with peers and key stakeholders in other teams Contribute to business development.

What are we looking for:

Important criteria:

Qualified solicitor or equivalent Demonstrable experience supporting on transactional employment matters with a minimum level of supervision. The ability and experience of managing a caseload providing sound commercial advice.
It would be beneficial for you to have some of the following:

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The ability to work as part of a team and independently. Adheres to guidelines and procedures. An understanding of clients' needs and expectations. Flexibility in approach and a willingness to work outside normal office hours, if required.
