We are looking for an Associate Field Biologist - Contract to join our Agricultural Solutions team in London, ON.

We are looking for an Associate Field Biologist to lead assigned local field trials, executing project leaders' protocols and managing staff and resources to run the trials efficiently. They will provide management support in the area of all aspects of research farm and cross portfolio / cross crop research program including all Herbicide, Fungicide, Insecticide, and ST trials.
As an Associate Field Biologist - Contract, you create chemistry by...

• Aligning research targets and farm operations with customer and market needs by managing farm resources and partners and developing technical training for seasonal research staff.
• Interacting with Technical Managers and Marketing to provide support as to what and how the product should be developed relative to market needs, and with Regulatory to provide support into the technical regulatory strategy as it relates to value.
• Supporting effective research partnerships with external parties to support product development.
• Effectively training and developing a a safety- and learning-focused team that produces high-quality field research results.
• Supporting local research farm capabilities to achieve key Canadian technical / market targets.
• Collecting high quality data to establish confidence in Canadian projects both internally with the business and externally with regulators.
• Utilizing methodologies and capabilities to consistently and efficiently evaluate new solutions.

If you have...

• A B.Sc or M.Sc. in Agriculture/Biology with or equivalent experience in crop science, weed science, agronomy, entomology, plant pathology or related discipline.
• Minimum 1-3 years related field experience, managing field research trials.
• Ideal 3-5 years related field experience, managing field research / product development projects across indications.
• Experience with the Canadian regulatory environment is beneficial. Experience in working with growers, distribution/retail, universities, or consultants would be beneficial.
• An ability to share knowledge and expertise with others, actively participating on teams to solve problems or achieve team goals.
• Strong organizational, time management and project management skills are also essential
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with audiences of varying backgrounds, ensuring key influencer relationships are well developed such that partnerships on research projects, training curriculum development and implementation are fostered.
• Skills at developing and delivering presentations to both external and internal customers, with excellent computer skills and proficiency in various software programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, ARM/SPEAD.
• Experience with farm equipment and or mechanical aptitude is beneficial.

Pay Transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $72,480 - $99,660. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
