Introduction to the role:
This role provides the opportunity to join one of the fastest growing business groups of Hill Dickinson. The Healthcare team have been growing year-on-year with a team of over 70+ lawyers and national coverage. We are one of the leading law firms providing legal advice and support to the NHS and independent healthcare organisations.
Our dedicated Health Real Estate team are now looking to recruit an ambitious Associate, to work on a wide range of Healthcare property matters for the NHS and private sector organisations operating in the Health and Social Care Sector.
Within this role, you will be given plenty of client responsibility and exposure (including travel) whilst being part of a supportive and collaborative team. Introduction to the team:
The Leeds team has a strong culture of collaboration, respect and transparency both with our clients and our people. We work closely with colleagues in Liverpool and Newcastle and have a "one team" approach to collaborative working across these offices.
Experts in their field, the Health Real Estate team regularly advises NHS bodies and independent sector providers of health and social care services on a broad range of property matters. As well as advising ICBs, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts, primary care providers and private healthcare companies, the team advises key national organisations including NHS England.

Key responsibilities:

Corporate support on mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the social care or independent health sector Property due diligence on secured lending transactions in the social care or independent health sector Negotiation of leases and associated landlord and tenant matters - acting for landlord and tenants Title investigation and reporting Deed of Easements, Licences, Tenancy at Will Providing property support to the wider commercial team on innovative contracting including joint ventures, alliance agreements and partnering arrangements Supporting business development strategies of the team and wider business group and presenting as the face of the firm to clients and intermediaries Working with the wider Leeds team to proactively promote and raise the profile of Hill Dickinson in Leeds, including attending networking events Developing your own relationships with clients / intermediaries.

What are we looking for:

Qualified solicitor Proven experience of advising in all areas of commercial property law and practice, ideally within the sector but other relevant experience will be considered Proven landlord and tenant experience Excellent communication, organisation and research skills Excellent attention to detail Demonstrable ability to manage high volume caseloads, achieving strict client deadlines Ability to work effectively as part of a team and develop relationships within the wider team Willingness to take responsibility and ownership of client work, with supervision as appropriate Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure Ability to play a proactive part in business development and profile-raising activity Positive attitude and interest in exploring and learning about new and unfamiliar legal areas Ability to work flexibly and proactively
