Associate Interior Designer, Private Client Bespoke Residential Projects

Salary Guide: \xc2\xa360,000 - \xc2\xa375,000

Quick summary: A young but already established and fast-growing studio who specialise in luxury interiors with a unique contemporary yet boutique house style. Seeking a highly experienced Associate level leading designer. A creative studio based in central London, with many convenient travel options. To be successful in this role you will have proven experience of working on fully bespoke private client projects from start to finish, strong all-rounded skillset, good FF&E experience, comfortable in a client-facing role and an impeccable eye for good design.

Job description:

  • Lead and coordinate multiple projects and project teams of varying scale and size.
  • Overseeing project documentation delivery.
  • Design and manage the team to successfully hit deadlines and budgets.
  • Create concepts and develop the design with freehand sketches, Photoshop & CAD drawings.
  • Production with the help of the team of CAD drawings, details, visuals, specifications and other documents to Design Intent.
  • FF&E sourcing and specification with the team.
  • Coordinating with external specialists, e.g. PM, QS, M&E consultants to integrate requirements.
  • Responsible for the design to meet the client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements and specifications.
  • FF&E Procurement & Installation with support of the team.
  • Responsible for meeting office standards and quality is met on given projects.
  • Attend meetings with clients, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and consultants as and where necessary.
  • Keeping up to date with suppliers and manufacturers.
What you will bring:
  • A degree in interior design, architecture or similar.
  • Must have a proven portfolio of bespoke residential projects, aligned with the studios style.
  • Likely to have a minimum of 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience from a similar top end design studio.
  • A confident communicator and natural client facer with excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong experience with project management from concept to delivery.
  • An ability to manage teams and be an inspiring leader with a hands on approach.
  • You will require a good understanding of current trends in the interior design industry.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of different materials and their suitability for different applications.
  • A fantastic eye for design and be an enthusiastic team player.
  • Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and to use AutoCAD, SketchUp Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop are essential for this role.
  • Hand sketching also an advantage.
