About the Role
The Associate Learning Designer is an entry-level role within the Learning Experience team, supporting the design and development of digital learning products and services. This role contributes to off-the-shelf content, with a focus on creating high-quality, learner-centred experiences.
Working under the guidance of senior team members, the Associate Learning Designer is responsible for rebuilding our e-learning collection lessons in a new authoring tool and ensuring we are creating accessible and engaging digital learning. The role provides structured opportunities to develop expertise in instructional design, learning science, and content development tools, while contributing to team-wide delivery goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing
Roadmap & Delivery Support
Support the delivery of learning design tasks across custom and off-the-shelf product streams.
Assist in delivering learning modules in collaboration with more senior designers.
Complete assigned content design activities to agreed timelines and specifications.
Maintain clear documentation throughout the content production lifecycle.
Assist with version control, QA processes, and final content delivery.
Build learning content using approved tools, templates, and frameworks.
Discovery & Insight
Conduct background research to inform content development.
Engage with Subject Matter Experts to extract and clarify key concepts.
Apply established learning design principles to structure content effectively.
Use learner personas, business context, and audience needs to shape learning experiences.
Learn from feedback and begin to apply design principles independently.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Learning Designers, Project Managers, QA, and Developers.
Attend internal and client meetings as required to support design discussions.
Provide input and updates to the wider team on progress and dependencies.
Support consistent collaboration practices within the Learning Experience team.
Participate in internal design reviews and team learning sessions.
Product Communications
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders
Present draft content, design decisions, and rationale to peers and managers
Ensure written content aligns with Learning Pool's tone, brand, and accessibility standards
Share risks, blockers, or support needs in a timely and transparent manner
Innovation & Growth
Stay up to date with industry trends in instructional design and digital learning
Contribute to improving team processes, templates, or content formats where appropriate
Seek and apply feedback to improve personal and team performance
Actively participate in team learning activities, mentoring, and shared resources
