Job Description

The Department of Education and Inclusion within the Institute of Education at the University of Worcester wishes to appoint for Associate Lecturer posts in Research in Education. The successful candidate(s) will contribute to student supervision and teaching in areas of educational research, and on our range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Colleagues whose educational research and teaching may incorporate a specialism in quantitative/ mixed methods research are encouraged to apply. Short listed candidates will be invited to an interview.

Programmes for which the advertised roles are sought include: MRes Education and MA Education. However, specific expertise which will contribute to the range of courses within the Department and Institute will be expected, as well as the potential to engage with CPD and PCE activities. Given the nature of the role, the successful applicant(s) will ideally be able to demonstrate experience of relevant academic research as well as some experience of teaching and learning within the HE sector.

NB. If you are successful at interview, you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers, and we will contact you if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week.

Please note that this post does not meet the minimum salary requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post who will require sponsorship to work in the UK.
