Job Description




A well-known engineering consultancy providing design and asset management for the built environment is excited to be growing their MEP team once again with the addition of an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer.

Summary:

As the Mechanical Associate, you will lead and oversee the Mechanical Engineering aspects of various building services projects. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will be responsible for developing creative solutions that meet our client\'s needs while adhering to industry standards and sustainability principles. Your technical expertise and leadership will be instrumental in guiding our projects from concept to completion.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree holder in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Building Services Engineering.
  • Ideally a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with membership of a relevant institution, i.e. CIBSE
  • 7+ years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with some experiencing managing and mentoring.
  • Good knowledge of the following software: MEPWorx, AutoCAD, IES, Microsoft Office
  • Ideally knowledge of the following software: Bluebeam Revu, Revit.
  • A track record of managing and completing medium to large-scale projects successfully.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the building services industry
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a meticulous approach to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive project information.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven dedication and commitment to sustainability and green building practices
