Job Description

Personal Banking department oversees debit and credit card operations, and provides back office support to the Bank's branches. As an Associate Mortgage Underwriting - Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible for assessing and processing mortgage applications, ensuring compliance with company policies. You will be coordinating with various teams to facilitate smooth case approvals and completion. This is a full time permanent position.

Key responsibilities



Review and assess mortgage applications, including Agreements in Principle (AIPs), to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the Bank's lending criteria Analyse applicant financial information, credit history, and supporting documentation to make underwriting recommendations Liaise with Branch and Credit Management department to facilitate mortgage case approvals Prepare and issue mortgage offer and legal documents in a timely manner Liaise with solicitors to ensure smooth processing and resolution of legal matters Collaborate with Operation Services department to ensure completion of mortgage cases Maintain organised and up-to-date documentation for all cases Assist in system maintenance Assist in market research and MI reports

Requirements



Degree educated in Finance, Business, Economics or other equivalent CeMAP or relevant qualification is desirable Proven track record in similar business stream is preferred Good problem solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Team player Ability to communicate clearly and interpret instructions effectively Excellent English and Mandarin communication and negotiation skills
