Associate / Partner - Court of Protection

Location: Cirencester or Cardiff

Based from the Cirencester office, with remote working opportunities available, we are now looking for a Partner to join the Redkite team.



The successful candidate will be given the autonomy & responsibility to manage their own case load with minimal supervision and work self-sufficiently to offer a broad range of CoP services to the firm's clients.

What You'll Be Doing

Join our leading Court of Protection team and make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable clients and their families.

Lead complex Court of Protection matters - Manage a varied caseload including property and affairs deputyships, statutory wills, trusts, and financial management for clients who lack capacity. Act as a professional deputy - Take on Court-appointed deputy responsibilities, making key financial and welfare decisions in each client's best interests and ensuring full compliance with OPG and court requirements. Provide clear, compassionate advice - Guide clients, families and carers through complex mental-capacity and financial issues with sensitivity and professionalism. Represent clients effectively - Prepare applications, attend hearings and liaise with the Court of Protection, the OPG and other professionals. Develop client relationships - Build and maintain strong connections with referrers, charities, care providers and other stakeholders, spotting opportunities for new instructions. Support and grow the team - Mentor junior lawyers and paralegals, share technical expertise and help shape the long-term direction of the Court of Protection practice
