TPS is an London and Essex based Mechanical + Electrical and Energy and Sustainability Consultancy looking for Associate Partner Building Services Engineer to join the team in London.
TPS are a 20 strong team of Design Engineers with a close-knit friendly company ethos. They operate across a whole host of sectors including Commercial, Office, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Retail and Heritage-Listed Buildings throughout London and the UK.
As an Associate Partner you will be involved in both large single projects and multiple smaller projects with a varied workload which requires sound engineering design skills, managing projects from inception to completion. You will be play a key part in the team, delivering projects effectively to strict deadlines, whilst maintaining technical performance standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The work will involve, but is not limited to:
Playing a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions
Resource management across the engineering team
Maintaining design quality and TPS standards across your projects.
Ensure delivery of projects within time and budget.
The role will include managing and supporting our engineers in delivering designs
Maintaining schedules, reviewing designs, and communicating with the broader project and client teams.
Liaise with the wider leadership team to develop and deliver business objectives.
Undertake project management and contract administration duties as required for each project.
Develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business
Use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.
Skills, knowledge and experience desirable
Experience in mechanical system design, including HVAC, pipework systems, and plant sizing.
Familiarity with relevant mechanical design standards and regulations.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Shall have an awareness of commercial issues
Have the drive and self-motivation to continuously develop your skills
Knowledge of BSRIA BG6, Part L, BREEAM, and renewable energy technologies.
Previous experience working on multidisciplinary projects.
Motivated and capable of driving self-development
Clear and effective communication skills
Time management
Comfortable delivering presentations and training.
