The Team You'll Join




We're looking for a talented

Associate Product Manager

to join our

Insights Team

at Runna. This is the team behind features like Workout Insights, which provides runners with personalised, actionable insights to help them train smarter and achieve their goals.


This role is all about AI-powered innovation. You'll work on features that use AI models to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience runners love, and you'll play a key role in deciding what we build next. Your work goal will be to improve adoption, user satisfaction, and retention of these features.


You'll be learning from and working closely with our Senior Product Manager (Ollie) in the Insights and Recommendations team. You'll also collaborate with our coaches, engineers, and product designers to shape the future of Insights at Runna. It's a chance to grow fast, take real ownership, and help define how AI can make training more personal, effective, and enjoyable for runners everywhere.

What You'll Be Doing




As an Associate Product Manager in the Insights team, your key responsibilities will include:

Delivering impact:

ensure features are shipped on time, at high quality, and with clear measurement in place to assess success and inform future improvements.

Managing AI features

: you'll primarily work on AI-powered features that deliver personalised, actionable insights aligned with the Runna coaching philosophy. You'll support the processes for evaluating, iterating, and improving these insights across the product.

User research:

you'll speak to our customers to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities to make Runna more useful.

Data analysis:

analyse the performance of your features to prioritise and inform product decisions.

Motivate your team:

you'll work closely with 5-7 engineers, learning to inspire, organise, and lead collaboratively.

Stakeholder management:

you'll build strong relationships with the wider team, including coaching, marketing and customer experience.

Questions you might be answering



What are the biggest user problems with our current insights? What new features will most improve Workout Insights? What are the most impactful bugs that we need to fix? Should we use OpenAI's or Anthropic's LLM models to power our AI features? How can we improve the Eval process for our AI features

Requirements



What You'll Bring To The Team



Have 2+ years professional experience

in a product role or a role adjacent to product, like design, consulting, engineering or analytics.

Are passionate about AI:

you're passionate about the latest AI trends, and the potential for it to improve our product experience

Location



You'll be required to work in our office in London at least 3 days per week

Bring a technical mindset: you don't need to write code, but a foundation in maths, engineering, statistics, or a related field will help you understand complex problems, interpret data, and collaborate in a technical team.

Our Interview Process:



Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:

Introductory chat

with the Talent team (25 mins Google Meets Call)

Product competencies:

we'll assess your past product experience, problem-solving approach, collaboration style, and examples that demonstrate the skills we're looking for in this role(45 minute video call) with two Product team members

Take home task:

this should take about two hours to complete in your own time. If successful, we'll go through this with you in your next interview*

Product skills interview:

We'll dive deeper into your task, and spend some time assessing how you think about product(60 mins) with two Runna PMs

In Office Final Meet:

meet the team, check out your commute and see the office in real life!*
