About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership in the design, development, and delivery of UCL's MBBS programme, with a particular focus on shaping the future UCL Doctor as a clinician fluent in research-informed practice.
As a key member of the Medical School leadership team, the postholder will lead and support research into pedagogical practices within the MBBS programme, generating evidence to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum. They will take a central role in curriculum-focused educational research and oversee student research activities, including guidance on ethics applications.
The postholder will coordinate the UCLMS research portfolio related to MBBS-facing educational scholarship in preparation for the REF 2029 submission and will be encouraged to pursue external research funding. The role also includes contributing to a range of leadership activities across the Medical School to strengthen its research and educational impact.
