We are looking to appoint an Associate QC Analyst to join the QC department on a full-time basis in Maidstone, Kent.
You will perform various scientific tasks to analyse and evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with established standards. You will organise and ensure that the appropriate proficiency surveys and certification programs are scheduled, performed and reported. You will establish the specifications for conducting assays and writing standard operating procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 2 years related experience and will have worked on problems of moderate scope, where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. You will be diligent with a meticulous approach to all tasks and will be a credible and confident communicator. You will have strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
In addition, you will:
Apply in-depth technical knowledge to define and manage laboratory investigations and/or technical troubleshooting, as required
Participate in laboratory administration, including notification of Out of Specification and Non-Conformances arising, progression of Change Controls, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) reviews and closure of assigned Corrective/Preventative actions
Keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory work in accordance with company procedures
Review completed product workbooks for product release in a timely manner
Lead QC projects - method improvements, Kaizen, SS, etc.
Ensure equipment, instruments, and facilities within the laboratory are calibrated, and kept serviceable
