The Team





A&O Shearman's Advanced Delivery Legal (ADL) team play an increasing role in delivering important elements of major litigation cases and transactions, as well as in coordinating teams of lawyers from around the world. ADL is a key part of A&O Shearman's advanced delivery of legal services to its clients, making intelligent use of technology and complementing the traditional law services provided by A&O Shearman throughout the world. The Role





We have a new opportunity for an Associate to join the Real Estate team in our Belfast office. We are keen to meet qualified lawyers with experience in real estate law.



The Real Estate team at A&O Shearman Belfast works on a range of matters across the firm's product lines, with particular focus on general real estate, development, real estate finance, acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, corporate support and supporting the A&O Shearman Real Estate global network. Working as part of the team you will gain recognition as a subject matter expert, embrace and drive innovation, lead projects, develop new workstreams and forge client relationships.



What you will do





In this role you will:Enhance drafting and analytical skills Specialist and significant general legal knowledge Issue spotting and report writing/drafting Lead projects/teams Undertake due diligence exercises and demonstrate independent thinking Quality control the work of more junior members of the team Provide training to junior team members Carry out business development, presenting directly to and owning relationships with clients Identify areas for innovation and utilization of technology


Who we are looking for

Qualified solicitor with experience in real estate law Strong technical knowledge of real estate transactional work including real estate finance, landlord and tenant, lease and title review due diligence and drafting real estate documents Good attention to detail Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Strong relationship-building skills - a team player with the ability to establish credibility and inspire confidence with clients and senior colleagues Demonstrate a high level of affinity with legal technology
